Step 1 of 5

What kind of breakouts are you seeing?

Pick everything that looks familiar. Most people have a mix, and that is completely normal.

Why we ask: the type of acne changes how we treat it, and most people have a combination. Knowing what you are seeing lets Jeannie build the right plan from day one instead of guessing.

Optional, but a clear photo helps Jeannie see what you are dealing with before you ever walk in. You can add up to three.

Your photos are private to Jeannie and used only to plan your treatment. Prefer to show her in person? Skip this step.

What are you hoping for?

This is the part that matters most. Tell Jeannie what clearing up would mean for you.

Where should Jeannie send your plan?

Almost there. Jeannie personally reviews your assessment and reaches out with your next step.

Acne Treatment That Targets the Root Cause

Acne treatment in Fresno at Simply Faces starts with working out what is actually causing your breakouts, rather than treating whatever is on the surface this week. Jeannie builds the plan around what you are willing to change and what you actually want to do, because one size does not fit all and a plan you will not follow is not a plan.

Every plan is personalized to the person in the chair. Whether you are a teen navigating your first breakouts or an adult dealing with acne that never went away, Jeannie tailors each step to your skin, your history, and your goals.

She treats the full range of acne, including hormonal breakouts, cystic acne, persistent congestion, and the post-acne marks that linger after a breakout has healed. Treatment works on what is already there while you build a routine that keeps it from coming back.

How We Treat Acne

Clearing acne is a process, not a single appointment. Here is how Jeannie approaches it from your very first visit forward.

1. Consultation and Skin Analysis

The first visit is mostly looking and asking. Jeannie goes through your products, then examines your skin under magnification to work out what is driving the breakouts. Depending on what she finds, some people start treatment the same visit, either something simple or a more aggressive peel.

2. A Personalized In-Studio Treatment Plan

From there, Jeannie builds a plan matched to your skin. Acne facials are the core in-studio treatment, pairing deep cleansing with careful extractions and LED light therapy, with enzymes, peels or high frequency added where they are the right call.

3. Home Care and Your Cheat Sheet

What you do between visits matters as much as the time in the studio. Vivant is Jeannie's favorite acne line, though not for their moisturizing, and she also carries Rhonda Allison. You go home with a written cheat sheet, not a list of instructions you half remember in the parking lot.

4. Follow-Up and Honest Timeline

Treatments run roughly two to three weeks apart, and staying on schedule is the part that decides whether this works. Jeannie adjusts as your skin responds and tells you the truth about where you are.

Bring In Every Tube in the House

Before anything is done to your skin, Jeannie wants to see what you have been putting on it. Everyone is asked to bring in every tube in the house. She goes through them with you and tells you what is good, what is bad and what is ugly.

Then you go under the scope. She is looking at what the skin is actually doing: whether you are washing too much, whether you are washing the wrong way, and whether the skin is overcorrecting as it tries to get itself back to the right pH. Half the time the answer is not another product. Sometimes you need drugs, and sometimes you only need to change the routine.

Hormones, Products, or Both

You have to work out whether it is hormones, poor-quality skincare, or both, and a great deal of the time it is both. Hormones push people toward more makeup and more product to cover what is happening, which makes the acne worse, which leads to more makeup again. Breaking that loop is often the single biggest change.

Not all acne is hormonal. Sometimes it is the products. Acne cosmetica, sometimes called cosmetic acne, is a well-described pattern of small clogged pores that comes from comedogenic makeup and skincare, and Jeannie sees it in teenagers and adults. That is why the first thing she looks at is what you are already using.

She calls herself a skin detective, and that is genuinely the job. Acne comes in waves, up and down, so reading a single bad week tells you very little. Reading the pattern tells you everything.

What a Plan Can Include

Acne Facials

The core in-studio treatment for active breakouts, pairing deep cleansing and extractions with LED therapy in a single focused session. Explore our acne facials to see the full process.

Your Free Consultation

The product audit and the first look under the scope, before anything is sold or applied. Often the most useful hour in the whole plan.

Chemical Peels and Enzymes

Chosen for the skin in front of her, from a gentle enzyme to a more aggressive peel, and timed around what your skin can take right now.

High Frequency

Used in the studio on inflamed, actively breaking-out skin, and sometimes continued at home between visits.

Home Care and Your Cheat Sheet

Vivant and Rhonda Allison matched to your skin, with a written routine you take home. Makeup is part of the conversation too.

An Honest Timeline

Roughly two to three weeks between treatments, reviewed as you go, with the schedule adjusted rather than the promise inflated.

What Your Plan Actually Looks Like

The breakout you can see today started forming weeks ago, down inside the pore, before there was anything on the surface to look at. That is why about a month is the shortest honest answer to "when will I see a difference," and why the plan runs on a schedule instead of a single appointment.

Most people are looking at about three months, with treatments two to three weeks apart. Staying on schedule matters more than any single product in the routine. And because acne comes in waves, a flat week in the middle is not a failed plan, it is what the process looks like from the inside.

Everything here is personal. There is no one size fits all, which is the whole reason the plan gets built around you rather than handed to you.

Teen Acne and Adult Acne

Acne affects every age group and both genders. Teen acne and adult acne can both be hormonal, and the first call usually comes either from a parent or from an adult who has been quietly dealing with it for years.

If you play sports, Jeannie will do something different, because sun exposure and sweat change what your skin can tolerate and when. That gets built into the plan rather than discovered the hard way.

One Thing She Will Not Do

Jeannie does not dermaplane acne. Not as an add-on, not by request. Dragging a blade across actively breaking-out skin is a good way to spread bacteria and inflame what is already inflamed, and the fact that it is a popular add-on elsewhere does not change that. If you came in wanting it, she will tell you why you are not getting it today.

When Acne Needs a Doctor

Some acne is more than a facial should be asked to carry. When it is deep and cystic, when it keeps leaving scars, or when it has not moved after a fair run at a consistent plan, that is a doctor's conversation. Jeannie will tell you that out loud, refer you to a dermatologist, and keep supporting your skin while you are in their care.

If You Are on a Prescription

If you are on isotretinoin (Accutane) or any prescription acne medication, tell Jeannie when you book. She does not start or stop medication, that is your doctor's call. She does change what she does in the room, and she will not wax or peel skin that is on isotretinoin or recently off it.

What Different Acne Looks Like Up Close

Each type calls for a different approach, and most breakouts are a mix. These are close-up examples of what Jeannie looks for when she reads your skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does acne treatment at Simply Faces actually include?

Four parts: the free consultation and product audit, in-studio sessions built around acne facials, home care matched to your skin, and follow-up on an honest timeline that gets adjusted as your skin responds. One treatment room, one person, every visit.

How long before I see my skin change?

Often about three months, with treatments two to three weeks apart, and the single biggest variable is staying on schedule. Acne also comes in waves, so a flat week is not a failed plan. Jeannie sets your timeline at the consultation rather than promising one on a web page.

Do you treat teen acne?

Yes, teens through adults, and both can be hormonal. The first call usually comes from a parent. If the teenager plays sports, say so when you book, because sun and sweat change what the skin will tolerate and Jeannie plans around it.

I am on isotretinoin (Accutane). Can you still treat me?

Tell Jeannie when you book. She does not start or stop medication, that is your doctor's call. She does change what she does in the room, and she will not wax or peel skin that is on isotretinoin or recently off it.

When should I see a dermatologist instead?

When it is deep and cystic, when it is scarring, or when a consistent plan is not moving it. Jeannie refers out in those cases. She would rather send you to a dermatologist than sell you a series that cannot fix it.

What home care will I need?

Home care is half the plan. Vivant is her favorite acne line, though not for their moisturizing, and she also carries Rhonda Allison. She goes over application with you and sends you home with a written cheat sheet.
