Waxing Done Right

Bad waxing experiences are more common than they should be. Skin lifts, bruising, missed patches, ingrown hairs: these are not inevitable side effects of waxing. They are signs of poor technique. When waxing is done correctly, with the right products and a practiced hand, it should be efficient, thorough, and far more comfortable than you might expect.

Over nearly three decades, Jeannie has refined what she calls her “no lift” technique, a method built on understanding skin tension, wax temperature, application angles, and removal speed at a level that only comes from tens of thousands of services. The result is clean, complete hair removal with minimal discomfort and virtually no risk of skin damage.

Jeannie uses premium hard wax for sensitive areas like the face and bikini zone, which adheres to hair rather than skin for a gentler pull. For larger body areas, she uses a high-quality soft wax applied in thin, even layers for maximum efficiency. Every waxing service includes pre-treatment skin preparation to protect the skin and post-treatment soothing products to calm and hydrate.

Signature “No Lift” Technique

Jeannie's proprietary method prioritizes proper skin tension, precise temperature, and expert angles to prevent lifting, bruising, or missed areas.

Hard Wax for Sensitive Areas

Premium hard wax grips the hair, not the skin, dramatically reducing discomfort in delicate areas like the face, bikini, and underarms.

What to Expect

Your waxing appointment begins with a quick skin check and discussion of the areas you would like treated. Jeannie applies a pre-wax oil to protect the skin, then works efficiently through each area with clean, precise strokes. She uses hard wax on all sensitive zones and soft wax on larger areas like legs or back. Each strip is removed swiftly and cleanly. After all areas are treated, she applies a soothing post-wax lotion to calm the skin and reduce any redness. She will also give you aftercare instructions (including what to avoid for the next 24 hours) to keep your skin smooth and irritation-free. For best results, book your next appointment four to six weeks out to catch hair at the ideal growth stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does my hair need to be for waxing?

Hair should be at least a quarter inch long, roughly the length of a grain of rice. This is typically about two to three weeks of growth after shaving. If the hair is too short, the wax cannot grip it effectively. If you are unsure, Jeannie will assess it at the start of your appointment and let you know.

Does Brazilian waxing hurt?

There is some discomfort, but Jeannie's technique is designed to minimize it significantly. Her hard wax formulation and refined application method reduce the pulling sensation compared to standard strip wax. Most clients report that it is much less painful than they expected, and discomfort decreases with regular appointments as hair grows back finer and sparser.

What should I avoid after waxing?

For the first 24 to 48 hours after waxing, avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, direct sun exposure, and heavy exercise. These can cause irritation on freshly waxed skin. Also avoid applying fragranced lotions, retinoids, or exfoliating products to the waxed area for at least 24 hours. Jeannie will give you a complete aftercare guide at your appointment.
